Our Story—Granovsky & Sundaresh

As we ring in 2022, it is hard to believe that Granovsky & Sundaresh has been in business for over a decade. We realize, however, that we have never openly shared why we decided to start our firm and what makes us different.

We are a husband-and-wife owned business. In fact, our firm is a just a few months older than our marriage. After many years working at large law firms, we started Granovsky & Sundaresh with the foundational principles of honesty, creative problem solving, hard work, and dedication.

Alex immigrated to the United States from the former Soviet Union, where it was dangerous for Jews to express their culture or practice their religion. Neeti’s parents came to this country from India with a single suitcase and built successful careers in medicine. Both of us witnessed first-hand the value of working hard and fighting for what you want as our families navigated their way with limited resources in the United States.

We know how it feels to be treated differently because of who you are or where you come from. Growing up, we saw our parents face discrimination based on their skin color, gender, religion, national origin, immigration status and age.

Our histories have made us deeply sensitive to people who face unfair and oftentimes illegal treatment at the workplace. Combined with our core instinct to protect those who have suffered injustice, our exclusive dedication to employment law and our big firm experience, we are uniquely positioned to serve our clients.

We are proud to help people who have faced discrimination on the basis of age, disability, gender, gender identity, national origin, race, religion, or sexual orientation. We are likewise dedicated to fighting for those who have not received their full pay by employers who may be taking advantage of them. And we continue to serve clients who need to ensure that their severance, non-compete or employment agreements are fair and transparent.

We are also proud to represent a large number of small businesses. As a mom-and-pop shop ourselves, Granovsky & Sundaresh is positioned to help other small businesses improve legal compliance and develop best practices for a better work environment. We know what it means to grow a business and navigate small details that have big consequences. We started our business at our kitchen table in a small, one-bedroom apartment and grew to where we are today – a firm with seven lawyers, two offices, and a newsletter.
